I've just recently returned home from the Deaf History International (DHI) conference in Toronto, Canada.
I was there to present two posters on two deaf Australians - Dorothy Shaw and Fletcher Booth. Both were well received and I've been asked whether there'd be a book or two coming out...
The conference was lovely - it's good to know there are people out there who are as crazy as I am with Deaf History! And I've learnt a lot and made some interesting friends and purchases.
The next DHI conference will be held at Edinburgh, Scotland in 2015.
And GUESS WHAT???
We, Australia, will host the following DHI conference in 2018 at Sydney! Yah!
